Ancaster - Royal LePage State Realty Brokerage

Ancaster is a community located on the Niagara Escarpment that amalgamated with the city of Hamilton in 2001.  While it is most commonly known as a more expensive and upscale neighbourhood with some of the largest and most impressive homes in the city, the rise of several suburban developments in recent years have made this sought after community much more affordable. Ancaster is now home to many families and is a great neighbourhood to raise children. The community is home to several catholic and public grade schools as well as Redeemer University.

There are also many amenities located here from natural attractions to a wide range of commercial options. It is home to the Meadowlands, one of the largest shopping areas in the city, as well as a second shopping district further South on Wilson Street near Shaver Road.

The 21-metre ribbon waterfall at Tiffany Falls Conservation Area is one of the most beautiful of Hamilton's waterfalls. Ancaster's Fieldcote Museum houses the Ancaster Historical Society and offers a varied program of musical entertainment during summer months.

The Hamilton Golf and Country Club has called Ancaster home since 1914 and was laid out by internationally known golf course designer, H.S Colt. It is one of Canada's finest golf courses and hosted the 2006, 2012 and 2019 Canadian Open. Ancaster's history, traditions and location add a special character to the City of Hamilton, of which it is an integral part.
