Dunnville - Royal LePage State Realty Brokerage

Dunnville is a quiet, picturesque community along Highway 3 on the Grand River between the Niagara and Hamilton regions.

A friendly welcome awaits you in the relaxed down-home atmosphere of the downtown Dunnville business section. Spacious streets feature rustic coachlight lanterns and many planters overflowing with flowers, welcoming you to browse through the unique shops and restaurants.

There are many events and natural attractions. Its close proximity to Lake Erie and the Grand River make it a fantastic spot for swimming, boating, fishing and all other types of water activities. In June, the annual Mudcat Festival is held to celebrate one of the Grand River’s most well-known inhabitants. Another popular event is the Dunnville Agricultural Fair, held in late August, which includes heavy, light and miniature horse shows, sheep and goat shows and much more.

Nestled within Haldimand County, a lot of the community culture revolves around the agricultural industry. Along with the annual fair, the town also hosts a true Farmers Market twice a week. Roadside stands offer fresh vegetables and eggs and can be found throughout the area for much of the year.

If you love the outdoors, you can find tennis, golf, lawn bowling and swimming facilities. The community is also home to Byng Island Conservation Area and Rock Point Provincial Park for those looking for an enjoyable camping experience.  If a scenic stroll is more you thing, nearby Port Maitland offers a beautiful, brand-new pier. In the fall, Rock Point hosts thousands of Monarch butterflies heading south. Dunnville is also the site of one of the largest expanses of provincially significant wetlands in Ontario and is perfect for bird watching and nature photography.

The former World War II RCAF Training Base at the Dunnville Airport offers a unique window on history with its massive hangars and runways now used for recreational flying and skydiving. The airport is also home to Haldimand County’s newest museum, the No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum.
